Test Results 

When the GP/Nurse advises you to go for a blood test, please allow sufficient time to allow test results to come through to the surgery, these results usually take about a week to come through. X-rays and USS results usually take a while longer. 

 

Please note, our reception team are not qualified to comment on any results and provide any advice. If you would like to speak to a Clinician regarding your results, you must book a routine appointment.

If any of the results are abnormal, you may receive a telephone call or text message advising you to book an appointment. Please do not worry if you receive this message. The doctor will say if you need to be seen urgently.

 

Please note, if your results are normal, you will not routinely receive a text.  After 7 days you are welcome to call reception on 01772 325150 to confirm that your results are normal if you wish.

Our surgery operates a strict policy regarding Confidentiality and Data Protection. For this reason, we will only give out results to the patient themselves unless the patient has given permission prior by completing a Third party access form.

Please note that it can take up to 1 week for a blood result to be returned and interpreted so please

do not call the surgery requesting results before this time period.
